Blood Flow Restriction Therapy
Personalized blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy uses a specialized tourniquet system, similar to a blood pressure cuff, to temporarily and intermittently reduce blood flow to a targeted area during exercise. This tricks the muscles into responding as if performing hard exercise, allowing patients to train at low loads (20-35% of effort) while gaining strength and hypertrophy responses. It accelerates the healing process after injury or surgery without excessive strain on the affected area.
The Payoff
How it helps
- Accelerated recovery after injury, surgery, or medical procedures
- Strength and muscle growth (hypertrophy) with lighter loads
- Restored mobility and symmetry
- Increased growth hormone and muscle protein production
- Less strain on injured or surgical areas
